OUTLOOK BEGINNER
Course Overview
This is a one-day training course customised for beginners to learn the basics of Microsoft’s Outlook software. Often underutilised, Outlook is a powerful and innovative platform capable of so much more than just sending and receiving emails. During our training, participants will not only learn Outlook’s basic email functions, but also how to add attachments to emails, create email signatures, set up read receipts, flag messages, manage spam and junk mail, create customised calendars, manage contacts, create tasks, use print functions and more.
Raising the Bar’s courses are delivered by certified experts who are well versed in all of Outlooks functions. Our training courses are tailored to be informative and easy to understand, with small class sizes ensuring all students receive personalised attention. Our dedicated trainers will teach you the basics of Outlook with clear instructions using demonstrations and hands-on activities to ensure all students leave with the confidence required to use Outlooks basic functions. All equipment is supplied, so there’s no need to bring a thing.
When the course is complete, students receive a certificate of completion, a detailed course guide reinforcing all the skills covered during the training, 12 months of phone and email support from Raising the Bar and the proficiency required to undertake our Outlook Advanced course.
Who Should Attend
The Outlook Beginner Training Course has been tailored for beginners who have very little or no prior knowledge of Outlook or any other email platform. It has been designed for those who want to learn the basic functions of how to send and receive emails, while taking advantage of many of the other features that Outlook has to offer. The skills learned will assist with communication, time management and organisation, which are helpful in a home or business environment.
Participants who attend this course are not expected to have any prior experience with Outlook. It’s well suited to those who want to use Outlook for personal or professional use, as you’ll learn such varied skills as how to work with attachments, flag messages for follow up, manage tasks and control junk mail filters.
Beginners can register for public Outlook courses in our training facility in Sydney, with various dates throughout the year. In other cities, closed group training sessions can be arranged by appointment in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra.
Course Prerequisites
Our Outlook Beginner training course is designed for beginners, so no prior exposure to Outlook is required to participate. All that’s needed is a basic understanding of computers and the Windows operating system, keyboard skills and the desire to take your skills to the next level.
