Application Description

SQL stands for Structured Query Language and is a special-purpose programming language designed for updating, deleting, and requesting information from relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Ingres, Sybase and Microsoft Access to name a few. With the use of several very simple commands, SQL is used to communicate with relational databases to allow you retrieve, sort, filter, group, aggregate and calculate data stored in database tables. It has become the database query language standard, forming the basis of a variety of well-established database applications on the internet.
